LAWTON SILL MINISTRIES

 

In the spring of 2002 author Lawton Sill was awoken with what he later described as "the gentle whisper of God." Instructed to write the words he heard, Sill, reluctantly complied.

 

Over the following 47 nights and days, Sill, hand wrote hundreds of poems, insights and inspirations. According to Sill, "The whispers seemed to come out of nowhere, with no thought of my own nor intention of the content, I simply wrote as fast as I heard the words and paid no mind to the form or structure. I was unfamiliar with much of the vocabulary and truly didn’t know how or why this was happening. The only one certainty I had was that the words were from God and for some unknown reason, He wanted me to write them and share them with the world."

After 47 days, the whispers abruptly stopped. To his amazement, Sill, finally having the chance to read what his hand had written, realized the importance of these simple, yet powerful messages from God.

Deciding to tuck them away "until further instructions," Sill only shared his experience with a few trusted friends. Then, almost one year to the day, more whispers came.This time, there was no hesitation on Sill’s part.

 

Nearly ten years past and with hundreds of Whispers compiled, Sill made several unsuccessful attempts to have the Whispers published, Sill was left perplexed and confused. Why would God speak the Whispers to Sill's heart, command him to share them with the world yet not provide the resources to sell them at book stores for all the world to see? Then God opened Sill's heart with clarity.

As Sill explains it, " I was walking and praying as I do every morning, pleading with God for his mighty power to break down the barriers that were keeping me from moving forward with His instructions when suddenly God answered my prayer and spoke to me in a gentle voice, " My son, you, have been the barrier,... I asked you to SHARE the Whispers with the world....not to sell them for profit, for where there is profit so too lye the entanglements which accompany them by way of distractions and suspect of motive".

 

With tears of joy, Sill understood in an instant why, even though people were amazed by the Whispers, the project, (as Sill calls it) had not moved forward after all those years. Sill's focus had been on the conventional route most of us would have also taken instead of focusing on God's original message to simply “share the Whispers". This answered prayer served as a "wake up call" to Sill and with the days that followed, it was clear to him what must be done to fulfill the promise of sharing the Whispers.

 

With what can only be described as "God's speed", and with a renewed sense of God's empowerment, Sill quickly embarked on what is now known as the Lawton Sill Ministries. Sharing not only the Quiet Whispers from God, but also the Holy Bible, KJV, digital online presentation, individual digital-audio presentations of the Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and other Christian based media with the world, all with

one common purpose: sharing the gospel as God intended.

 

God opened Sill's eyes to delivering these publications to the world wide web, known as the internet, with the potential of reaching millions with God's message by linking and networking with other Christians from around the world.

By partnering with SmarteStuff, ( a separate company who specializes in digitizing online content presentations), God's message of Quiet Whispers along with the Holy scriptures are poised to be delivered to the masses, virally reaching every man, woman and child who has a smart phone / tablet, instantly and for free.

 

Lawton Sill is the inner man God chose to deliver His message of Quiet Whispers to the world.

He firmly believes the world needs to heed the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ with great urgency and is dedicated to this mission. He considers himself as a servant and seeks no credit or recognition for the Quiet Whispers, for he received them from God to share and believes God deserves all the glory for these magnificent teachings.

 

The ministry continues to grow by the blessings God provides through donations and our online store where 80% of the funds generated are distributed to the various ministry projects and outreach programs. The remaining 20% is used for necessities while running the ministry.

Sill recognizes the importance of focusing primarily on the continued whispers he receives from God.

With this in mind, he maintains a humble lifestyle close to the ministry yet far away from the public limelight notoriety and distractions that interfere with his purpose.
